3D Modeling: Objects, Assemblies & Certificates (SolidWorks)
Dynamic/Flexible Assembly and 3D Part Modeling Sample. This “Flexible” assembly is made up of 3D parts that I modeled from physical objects. Then by simply adding a hierarchy of carefully assigned mating relationships, I created a flexible chain link that allows the bottom two shackles to be spaced apart (and moved together) while pulling the cables and pivoting the upper shackles along with them.
Using Advanced SolidWorks Configurations to create radically simplified versions of a complex master assembly in a matter of seconds. This first example shows a highly detailed master assembly, but notice how the next image is the exact same model only stripped of all details. This technique makes the creation simplified 3D models for public use incredibly easy to generate directly from complex master assemblies.
Using Advanced SolidWorks Configurations to create radically simplified versions of a complex master assembly in matter of seconds. This second example shows how the previous, highly detailed master assembly, was easily converted into a simplified 3D model (suitable for public use) within a matter of seconds by using a series of powerful nested configurations at the part level of every component.
